One thing you never leave home without: My cell phone! Beyond that, I always have Fresh Sugar lip balm in my bag. Favorite vacation destination: Paris for city, Maui for beach. The next place on my destination list is Australia; I would love to see Sydney.
Trends you’re loving right now: It always comes back, but I love plaid for fall, especially in a nontraditional color palette like pastels. A cashmere plaid skirt or sweater is cozy and feels like autumn has arrived.
Where do you find inspiration?: Travel, music, art.. also just paying attention to women on the street and how they put themselves together. Personal style touches are what makes an outfit interesting.
Favorite piece of jewelry: I never take off my Sydney Evan love necklace and Anita Ko leaf ring.
What you’re listening to right now: I love Ed Sheeran’s latest album, especially all the remixes I find on Hype Machine.
Latest splurge: A pair of black suede Gianvito Rossi lace-up heels I bought for New York Fashion Week.
Best jewelry/accessories advice: Don’t overdo it. I don’t want my jewelry to be the first thing someone notices about me. Instead, I want it to be a more subtle touch that goes hand in hand with my personality and style. I don’t tend to wear a lot of loud jewelry in my blog’s outfit posts or in everyday life. Sometimes I bring out a statement necklace if my outfit is simple and needs a pop, but for the most part I love wearing a few delicate, quality pieces every day instead: always my rings, maybe a gold hand chain or lariat necklace.
We love your quintessential California girl style. You always look so put together! What's one unexpected item we would find in your closet?: Thank you! I don't wear a lot of black (I prefer color) but lately I've been racking up some dark leather jackets and pants. A darker palette feels like a nice refresh after such a hot, humid summer in LA.
